Spire Hospital Elland has 43 beds and provides a wide range of medical, surgical and diagnostic services. The hospital has a CT and MRI scanner - both of which can provide better scans of soft tissue in the body than conventional x-rays - and also offers ultrasound and bone densitometry. Although the hospital does not offer chemotherapy, it does provide surgical services for breast cancer and colorectal cancer, and both these units are BUPA-approved. The hospital also provides palliative care services. A range of complementary therapies is on offer. Acupuncture, aromatherapy and homeopathy are all available at the hospital. There are two critical care beds, and always at least two Advanced Life Support trained staff on site at any one time.
