The Wessex Nuffield Hospital - located in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire - has 46 beds and offers a range of medical, surgical and diagnostic services. Two of these beds are critical care, and there are always at least two members of staff on duty with Advanced Life Support training. There are three major operating theatres at the theatre, all of which are laminar flow - this special clean air system reduces the risk of infection during operations. There is also one minor operating theatre. Physiotherapy is available at the hospital, with special treatment for sports injuries, hydrotherapy and an onsite gymnasium also available. Although the hospital does not perform surgery on children under three years of age, it is able to operate on those between the ages of three and twelve. Again, there are always at least two members of staff on duty with Paediatric Advanced Life Support training.
