The Abbey Gisburne Park in Lancashire is, with 35 beds, a reasonably small private hospital. Although the hospital does not perform surgery on children under the age of three, it is able to undertake surgical procedures on those aged between three and twelve. There are always at least two members of staff on site with Paediatric Advanced Life Support training, meaning there is support available in the event of an emergency. A range of complementary therapies is available at Abbery Gisburne Park - acupuncture, aromatherapy and homeopathy are all offered. The hospital has surgical services for breast and bowel cancer, though neither unit is BUPA-approved at present. Physiotherapy services are available at the hospital. There is specialist treatment for sports injury, hydrotherapy services available, and a gym to aid treatment.
